Marika Hedemyr, a graduate of London’s esteemed Laban Centre, is a contemporary dancer and choreographer. She creates cutting-edge dance drama pieces for public settings as well as the stage; one or two productions a year which are performed in her home country of Sweden and abroad. Ms. Hedemyr is the artistic director and choreographer for the Crowd Company. In addition to this, she freelances for other theatres and dance companies and is the artistic director of Dansbyrån. In 2009, her piece ”Just in Time” advanced to the finals in a Japanese choreography competition, and she has been awarded a number of grants for her work.
